Although this never materialized as the new church location, the congregation realized a 300 percent profit on the sale of the property. Its sale provided some funds for the current church property. The present seven and one-half acres at 11570 Mark Twain Lane was purchased October 28, 1966, and the ground breaking service for the new sanctuary was held May 20, 1967. In this building the ministry of the church expanded to include a day care center and Christian school. In 1984 Reverend Jim Roam joined his father in the pastorate of the church and assumed many of the administrative and pastoral responsibilities.
Under his ministry the church again began to dream of expanding its facilities to accommodate growth as the various ministries of the church increased. Brother Jim Roam remained at New Life for nine years before feeling led to other avenues of ministry.
