our history
Reverend Jerry Jones, former
International Youth President for UPCI, was elected pastor on March 1, 1993. He and Brother Guy Roam worked in close harmony for the following year until Brother Roam’s death on April 1, 1994. During his six years as pastor of New Life Brother Jones continued to plan for expansion of the facilities, and the congregation shared in this vision by consistent giving. The church experienced continued growth and revival, and celebrated its fiftieth year of existence throughout 1998.
In October 1998 Brother Jones was elected to the office of General Secretary-Treasurer of the United Pentecostal Church International and assumed that position January 1, 1999. The mantle of leadership then passed to Reverend Garry Tracy, former missionary and official with UPCI. His burden, vision, and ministry will build upon the strong foundation of the previous pastors and will lead us into the second half century of the church. Truly, the miracle of New Life Pentecostal Church continues into the next millennium.
