Who would have known what would happen when a few kids from a kids prayer group got a burden to help their brothers and sisters in Africa. Just a spark of faith mixed with action and God's blessings was all that was needed to help free four slaves in North Sudan through fundraising efforts of children in Hazelwood, Missouri. Four people - four families - are going to be impacted and have their entire lives changed because someone showed that they cared.

We are very proud of our kids prayer ministry for not only praying for slaves whom they may never see, but putting wings to their faith and actually doing something about it. Recently we mentioned to them during our prayer time that if we pray for God to burden someone to help a certain need that we must be willing for that person to be us, if God so chooses. That's exactly what happened... they prayed, they were burdened, and they acted. One day in heaven perhaps these children will meet the slaves they have freed... imagine the conversation they will have! Imagine the joy, the smiles, and the feeling of "Wow! This was worth all the effort!"

Thank you to all of those who have given and helped support their burden. They have come up with lots of other ideas of how they can continue this burden and as as they do so, let's help train them in ministry by supporting them and praying for them. But more than that, THANK YOU Kids Prayer for caring beyond your own needs. You've done exactly what God wants you to do.
