World Missions focuses primarily on foreign missions, although we also support home missions (US and Canada), Gateway College, Tupelo Children's Mansion, Mission of Hope Radio, Lighthouse Ranch for Boys, and New Beginnings (an adoption agency). We depend on the sacrificial giving of the members of New Life to support these ministries. We encourage New Life to pray for missionaries and to support these ministries as much as possible.
On the first Sunday of each month, we give a report to the congregation. This report typically consists of excerpts from letters we have received from foreign missionaries. Most of the financial support we receive from New Life comes in one-time offerings, with the exception of Foreign Missions, which we receive on the first Sunday of each month. The biggest "event" for World Missions is the annual Missions Conference, held in the spring, at which we renew our commitment to give.
